About Les
Les has been a driving force in Liverpool’s music scene, establishing himself as one of the city’s most respected DJs. Starting out in Liverpool’s record shops, he worked alongside notable DJs like Pete Tong and Fatboy Slim, which led to residencies at clubs such as Society, G-Bar, and Garlands, playing to packed crowds each weekend. His talent took him across the UK and to Ibiza, where he performed at Eden nightclub with Garlands for ten seasons, leaving a lasting impression on the island’s club culture.
Les spends his days channelling his expertise into mentoring at Mode Training, where he guides the next generation of DJs through personalised one-on-one lessons. Many of his former students have achieved remarkable success, performing at prestigious venues and festivals like Elrow, Creamfields, and Mint Festival, with gigs reaching as far as Dubai, Ibiza, and Menorca. His commitment to mentoring reflects his lasting impact on DJ culture, actively shaping the future of the craft.
Les’s influence also extends to radio, with past appearances on Juice FM and Radio City Liverpool, and to studio collaborations with Mike Di Scala and Dave Whelan (now Camelphat). Together, they’ve released tracks on major labels, including Ministry of Sound, Positiva, and Adhesive Records, reinforcing his reputation within the industry.
In addition to his mentorship, Les remains a staple in Liverpool’s nightlife, spinning regularly at Modo and for private events, where he continues to energise crowds with his signature style. A favourite at the Reminisce Festival, Les consistently delivers the iconic Garlands sound, ensuring his legacy as both a performer and a mentor dedicated to the future of DJ culture.
